Borve Lodge Estate is a traditional sporting estate, luxury lodge and self-catering business located on the west coast of the Isle of Harris.
Built in 1868, the estate offers a luxury holiday destination providing experiences that are unique and exceptional. The estate has undergone considerable investment in recent years and continues to develop its business operations within the local community.
One of the estates long term employees is leaving the island and this has led to a rare opportunity to become a member of our committed and diverse team on a full time permanent basis.
The estate is seeking applications from committed individuals to join their maintenance and outdoors team. Applicants must be highly motivated with a flexible and enthusiastic approach to meeting the job specification within this key role.
The successful applicant will be multi skilled and have proven experience in a broad range of maintenance skills including, but not exclusively, motor mechanics, basic electrical work, carpentry and joinery, grounds and basic building maintenance and plumbing. We are looking for the kind of person who can turn their hand to most things, get them fixed when needed and support the business operating effectively. A strong commitment to team work is required by all applicants.
Key additional assets would be to have a familiarity with the use boats and watercraft and general maintenance, game and sea fishing and horticulture. Qualifications to the level of RYA Powerboat Level 2 will be a distinct advantage.
The role is a full time permanent position with a competitive salary and pension plan.
