A traditional croft house with all family comforts
In gaelic, the word for ‘shore’, is claddach, and Claddach House – a traditional stone-built croft house nestled in the Borve valley, is aptly named.
Just walk down the garden path, cross the single track road and about 200 meters of machair grassland, and one will be at the Estate’s secluded Borve beach, with views of the Atlantic Ocean, and the ‘Castaway’ Isle of Taransay.
Claddach House is styled with a light, almost nautical design, the paneled walls giving a touch of ‘Cape Cod’ style. The solid feeling of the Hebridean croft house has been retained, but has modern fixtures and amenities throughout. Families, or couples, have plenty of space to relax, with the ground floor providing a large dining room, a fully-equipped open plan kitchen, and a sitting room for enjoying an evening fire.
Accommodating 6 people, there are 2 double bedrooms (one with en-suite) and 1 twin bedroom. The en-suite bedroom can be converted into a twin bedroom. The house also has a first floor bathroom and a separate cloakroom and utility room.
Short stays are available (minimum 4 nights).
Unfortunately we are unable to accept bookings for people with pets in Claddach House.
COVID-19 Update: Please note that under the current Scottish Government guidelines, no more than 2 households (maximum of 6 people) can occupy the property.
