In March, we were delighted to host @macgregorandmacduff at the Lodge for the launch of their stunning new tartan, ‘Harris Mist‘. This event was a highlight of the year, showcasing the rich fabric of our culture.
July was another bustling month, with visits from Jon Gibb and Tavish Scott of Salmon Scotland to our fisheries, who left impressed by the beauty of Fincastle and Laxdale lochs. The estate also welcomed stars from the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd, who enjoyed a memorable day on Taransay.
Notably, Coinneach MacLeod, known as the Hebridean Baker, graced us with his presence multiple times. His culinary skills were on full display as he whipped up delicious Taransay venison and tatties on Paible beach. Our self-catering properties saw over 350 guests from around the globe, from Inverness to the USA to Australia. Our dedicated housekeepers facilitated over 130 changeovers, ensuring each guest was welcomed with the warmth and hospitality the Hebrides are known for.
The year ahead promises excitement, particularly with Taransay set to be a focal point. We’re exploring ecotourism and adventure holidays, responding to the interest from prospective partners. This initiative aligns with our commitment to conservation and regeneration, promising a sustainable future for our beloved island.
